WEEK 14

Activity : Proposal and Blog submission

Objective : To submit the final draft Final Year Project 1 report to supervisor.

Content / Procedure :

Contains explanations, ideas, findings, research about the product.

Result and Analysis :

- Gained the information about the project.
- Gained full support from the supervisor, family and friends.
- Finalize the report FYP1 to the supervisor.
- Can Proceed to FYP 2, starting with hardware and software.

week 13 - Fund, Benefit and Contribution

Activity : Fund, Benefits and Contributions 

Objective : To find information that connected to the proposal project for fund, benefits and contribution.

Content / Procedure :

Contains explainations on how the new finding / ideas will contribute to the comunity and how to get a fund.

Result and analysis :

 

·                     This device can lift up and support the leg for treatment and examination.

·                     This device can be moved to the location of the patient (Mobile).

·                    This device is also designed with a portion which can be used to store the treatment equipment.

·                     The leg lifting unit is designed to be Automatic.

·               Can acquire two types of biological signal which is pulse rate and body   

      temperature.

.           The measurement of pulse rate and temperature acquired and display the required  

            parameters that been chosen   through LCD.

week 12 - Hardware and Software development

Activity : Software

Objective : Explain software system project.

Content/ Procedure :

In week 10, all FYP semester 1 student will have their project presentation at Gemilang Hall. Then, the program had been postpone to week 11. The purpose of this presentation was to tell the assessor/evaluator about the project ideas and the objective of producing the project. 

Result and analysis :

Software development progress was doing the visual basic that contain multimedia and interfacing.

Conclusion : 

The correction has been done in week before presentation day, it must be no problem regarding to the correction that had been given from supervisor.

WEEK 11 - Presentation Day

Activity : Presentation Day 

Objective : 

Presenting the whole idea about project and the objective of the product.

Content / Procedure :

Students that had been list in the Final Year Project 1 that day must attend the presentation at Gemilang Hall to participate in presentation of project. Presentation starting at 2.30 pm until 5.30 pm. There is two assesor for a project presentation.

Result / analysis:

WEEK 10 - Power Point Presentation Preparation

Activity : Slide presentation preparation

Objective :  To prepare the slide show / power point.

Content/ Procedure :

In week 10, all FYP semester 1 student will have their project presentation at Gemilang Hall. Then, the program had been postpone to week 11. The purpose of this presentation was to tell the assessor/evaluator about the project ideas and the objective of producing the project.

WEEK 10 - Meeting With Supervisor

Date : 21 NOVEMBER 2014  

Day  : FRIDAY 

Activity: Presentation Practical with Supervisor.

Objective: to make used on the presentation day.

The slide show must not be too long and too short. Besides student was exposed to the behavior of the assessor and the scenery atmosphere, thus also gained information on the presentation day including the location of students in the Gemilang Halls.

Content and Procedure:

Date for presentation had been declare 26 November. Speaker advise to used the abstract in one paragraph besides used only three main point for the objective. Thus the project must be including scope, literature review, method and budget. furthermore, speaker said the proposal guideline can be find in the FYP BMI website.

Result/Analysis: 
To make sure student familiar with lots of people, 
upgrade confident level, and focused on the presentation day. The way of speaking trough gesture and making eyes contact.

Conclusion :

From the briefing, its was a lot of knowledge that can be gain about the presentation day and the atmosphere in the Gemilang Hall.

WEEK 9 - 3rd BRIEFING (FYP1)

Date : 12 NOVEMBER 2014  
Day  : Wednesday

Activity: FYP Briefing #3

Objective: 

Focused on the presentation day.

Content and Procedure:

Date for presentation had been declare 26 November. Speaker advise to used the abstract in one paragraph besides used only three main point for the objective. Thus the project must be including scope, literature review, method and budget. furthermore, speaker said the proposal guideline can be find in the FYP BMI website.

Result/Analysis: 
The slide show must not be too long and too short. Besides student was exposed to the behavior of the assessor and the scenery atmosphere, thus also gained information on the presentation day including the location of students in the gemilang Halls.
  
Conclusion :

From the briefing, its was a lot of knowledge that can be gain about the presentation day and the atmosphere in the Gemilang Hall.

WEEK 8 - INITIAL RESEARCH

ANALYZE THE EXISTING DESIGN

 

 

 

ADVANTAGES OF EXISTING DESIGN:

·      =   Support the patients leg.

·     =    Allows the doctor to view the patients leg without squad down.

 

DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING DESIGN

·       =  The leg supporter is not stable.

·      =    Difficult to adjust the leg supporter (manually).

·       = The device only can be used on one type of chair.

·       =  The design does not fulfill the ergonomic.

·       =  The leg raising unit can not be adjusted.

·       =  Patient face stress and pain during lifting their leg to rest on the supporter.

·       =  Can’t measure pulse rate and temperature
